So Much For My Last Promise...

I know I said I was planning to update every single day. Obviously that didn't happen. Wuups. My life just isn't exciting right now. BUT! This weekend is guaranteed to be super busy and fun. Andrew is getting his Aggie Ring tomorrow! Eeeek! I am so happy for him!! And of course for everyone else getting their rings tomorrow. I also have registration around the time he will be getting his ring, so Erik is going to be a great friend and register for me :) and of course there will be a party later and dunking and his family is coming up for the evening. So...I've been cleaning like mad. And I'm done! Saturday is Shala's bridal shower, and somehow Andrew, Erik, Shala and I are going to carpool to Houston. We'll see how that works out.

What exactly are you supposed to wear to a bridal shower? I'm thinking a dress? Hah I need to brush up on my etiquette...quite a few weddings to attend in the near future! Does 2 weddings count as quite a few? Okay good, I thought so too.

Next week will be a drag since I have an online final, and that class is the suck. The worst part was the lecture about abortions. And they screwed it up and are requiring everyone to watch it over again. I mean, seriously, I don't want to hear about how they vacuum the baby out and I'm pretty sure its the most disturbing thing I've had to listen to and read.

So with all the exciting things going on in the next two days, there will be lots of pictures! I will require myself to take tons of them to make up for lost time hah.

Happy Friday!

Gimme A Break

...gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar. Last week was so hectic and busy that I kinda neglected everyone here. Sorry! Hopefully I will get the chance to post every day this week.

This weekend was delightful (minus my crazy bad allergies) as I went to go visit Sammie to help her with her first ever jewelry show! I'm still pretty tired from the week/weekend but it was definitely worth it. After the show we spent the night cleaning up Sammie's room, and hopefully with a little more work it will look great (ahem, Sammie check your email!) because we threw out a ton of stuff. I drove back Sunday afternoon, cleaned myself up & had a short nap, went to HEB and Fuddrucker's for dinner. Today has been pretty chill, I haven't done a whole lot seeing as how I have no homework and nothing to really do this week.

BUT I completely forgot to mention my exciting news! Last week I did a little more searching for a roommate, and I think I found the perfect girls and place to live! It's super cheap, plus my living room furniture will actually be used rather than it staying in storage all year. Her name is Kellei, and we met last Thursday and chatted for almost 3 hours. Today I went by to see the house that she lives at, and I love LOVE LOVE IT! I think it's the perfect place for me. But I'll let you know how things progress.

Have a happy week!

Big Girl Decision

This week, I've told myself to put my big girl panties on and make a very important decision on something that has been in the back of my mind for over a month now (or maybe two months).

Sooooooo my big decision is....

I'm finally cutting off my hair to donate to Locks of Love! In case you don't know or haven't heard of Locks of Love, it's a non-profit that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged kids in the US and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. If you want more info feel free to check out their site here.

I thought about doing this at the very beginning of the semester, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that I wasn't ready to cut my hair off and I still wanted to enjoy it. But now I'm ready for it to be gone. This afternoon I measured my hair, and it's 27 INCHES LONG! Whoa. I guess I never really thought about it being so long because I never see it. I'm just tired of having long hair and taking care of it. It can take me 45 minutes just washing it! But thank goodness I don't have to straighten it, that would be the real pain especially after blow drying it too. The minimum amount required to donate is 10 inches, and I'm planning to donate a whole foot. Andrew hates the idea, as he loves my long hair but what I do with my hair is my decision, and I may or may not grow it out again. Cutting 12 inches off my hair will put the length at chest level, so it will still be long-ish.

When will this be happening you ask? Great question! I want to keep my hair long for Erik and Shala's wedding (but I really need a trim between now and then--or perhaps when I'm home for Easter I'll chop it all off) but I don't want to go halfway through summer and not have it done because I will be burning up! So, I'm planning to do it at the end of May. And I promise I will post lots of pictures because it is definitely a memory worth keeping :) I'm thinking shorter bangs with a little layering perhaps?

This was my hair three years ago. My hair used to be layered, and I was growing my hair back out. Please ignore the split ends, I was in desperate need of a haircut! Since then, it has grown another 5 inches or so and it is all one length (or close to it)

Freshly trimmed hair right after Christmas--it might now be maaaybe 2-3 inches longer than that because sometimes it gets stuck in my jeans. Oops.

Are you excited as I am about this??!??!

Walk Me Down The Middle

Happy 2 years Andrew! I love you more than you will ever know!

On the way to Olive Garden for Valentine's Day! Unfortunately you can see Andrew's latest basketball scar on his cheek but that's okay :)

As for our anniversary, I don't think we have any plans but I got him a Captain America t-shirt and the movie RED. Not to mention the fact that both of us have so much going on this week that it might be impossible to even celebrate at all. But regardless of when we celebrate--we will be together! I have never been happier in my life!

Just One More Day? Please?

AHHHH it has been such a good weekend! But now I have to focus on the suck of my life, school. This week I've got 2 exams, 2 quizzes, a HUGE lab proposal, plus other things to do like work, laundry, and the playoff basketball game with my intramural team! Wooo!

But to make the perfect end of the weekend, the Lady Aggies knocked off #1 Stanford and are going to the National Championship game! I am beyond ecstatic! Tonight's game was one of those clutch-the-tv-and-pray-hard-that-we-win kind of game. This is the first time for us to go to the Final Four, and we have knocked off TWO (count 'em, TWO) #1 seed teams--first Baylor and now Stanford. Currently Notre Dame and UConn are playing, and I'm going to say that UConn will win. Geno Auriemma has done an amazing job with those girls.

Friday involved a whole bunch of waiting around on Andrew to get his homework done, which was a total drag. I did absolutely nothing but play computer games and watched a movie. Saturday was fabulous, with making eggs and french toast for breakfast followed by Andrew coming over, going to WalMart, the gun range for about two hours, dinner at Cotton Patch, and the movie Insidious (which I was planning to go see with Sammie but she won't be visiting any time soon which makes me sad but I know how life goes) and it was AWESOME. According to Andrew I jumped at least 20 times. And I'm dying to go see it again! Today has been pretty relaxed, with the usual church and studying. And can't forget that amazing basketball game!

How was your weekend?

No Pranks Today

I can't believe that it is already April. Where has the semester gone? According to my calendar there's only 5 weeks left of school plus 3 days of finals. And it seems like April is one of the busiest birthday months. Even though it is Friday and the weekend is here, I haven't done anything all day so I'm a little bored right now. To make matters worse, my allergies are going crazy so I've been staying indoors all afternoon.

On top of the boringness that's been happening, I haven't seen Andrew all week except for a few minutes on Tuesday and last night when he came over to watch The Big Bang Theory. He has been swamped with homework every single night and this weekend isn't looking any better for him to take a break. So I pretty much hate the entire Engineering Department right now. Or maybe just the professors for giving too much work. I've never seen him have so much work. EVER. I hope it gets better before the semester is over.

I don't have any plans this weekend, but I might be going to see Insidious tomorrow! Yay! Love me some scary movies. Aaaaand then the rest of the weekend will be devoted to doing homework since I've done nothing all week.
